I have loved animals my whole life.. I own a horse named Shytan and a maltese named Cherry. My first job was answering phones at a grooming shop. Ironically my first job was in the same salon where I am now working. My main responsibility at that time was taking appointments and checking out the pets when their owner arrived. Being the only one there I would spend time with the dogs keeping them calm while they waited and I would see areas on a dog that had been missed by the groomer here and there and I would get the dog out and fix it. I didnt want to let the dog leave the salon with any places that were not perfect. One day my boss observed me while I was redoing a dog but they didn't say anything. Then one busy saturday a groomer had called in sick and my boss handed me a pair of clippers and said here shave that dog. From then on I taught myself little by little on how to groom entire dogs. When I graduated high school she made me a full time groomer. I was a groomer while going to college and my Dad asked me "Penny what are you going to major in?" I still didn't know and he told me that I had to decide and start planning my future.. Jokingly I said that I should open a grooming shop. The next thing I knew my Dad said come on let's go for a ride. We got in his truck and he said tell me where we are going. I didn't understand and he said tell me where your grooming business is going to be. We drove around and a month later at 21 I opened Jolleys Pups N Cuts. It was a pet store and grooming. The pet store was my sisters part to handle and I did grooming. We shortly realized that selling pets supplies was not where our passion laid and went to just grooming.
Since then life has given me many opportunities to follow my dream of owning my own shop and even though it has been full of ups and downs I am still fulfilling my dream of grooming pets and helping their parents. Some of you may know of my last salon located on Buffalo and Charleston where I had two locations. The last one was closed due to unforeseen circumstances and my best groomer leaving the state. My newest location is connected to a veterinary hospital on Rancho. This is a perfect match since I can help pet owners who visit the doctor keep their pets looking sharp and when pets are boarded I can give them grooming before they go home.

This is Cherry my mini Maltese. She goes everywhere with me and is the joy of my life. I have always had mini Maltese's. Cherry just turned 4 years old and I have had her since she was just a puppy and she now weighs a whole 3 pounds but watch out if you upset her that 3 pounds turns into 300 pounds of terror.
This is Shytan who is a 16 year old quarter horse that I have had since she was 5 years old and she weighs 1200 of pure love.
